At Alcalatén, we take great care to reduce our environmental footprint. We respect the legal limits and use filters to control all discharge.

We have managed to recycle 100% of the water used in our facilities and we filter the juices that come out of the machines, to avoid acid emissions, such as the air from the ovens not emittig solid particles into the atmosphere. We also filter out oils and then collect them for submission for appropriate processing.

In addition to neutralizing all the harmful elements involved in ceramics production, we manage the containers according to the Ecoembes regulations and recommendations, from design until recovery when its useful life finishes.

Up until now it appears that we are doing well, and in recognition of this effort, we have recently been winners of the Ecofira Prize in the atmosphere-air catgeory by the application of an acid contaminants purification system in the emissions of our oven of rollers.
