The first edition of the photography contest “Mi reforma con cerámica” has announced its winner; a jury made up of expert interior designers from the MiCasa magazine and Tile of Spain have awarde a price to Ana Nebot for her snapshot, where one can see a terrace with Alcalatén Cerámicas floor tiles on it.

She has opted for the Cedro model from the Woods XXI series, in a rectified 14.3 x 59cm format that can be used for both exteriors -as it constists of porcelain tile- and interiors.

Porcelain woods contribute to a warm atmosphere, not to mention its exceptional technical qualities, that it requires hardly any mantainace and that it has obviously got greater endurance than actual wood.

Even though we have been working with the USA for over 20 years now, this will be our first time at Coverings, that has been considered the most important ceramic fair in the United States, where not only people from North America (USA and Canada), but also Central and South America visit.
In spite of the bad situation the global economy is in, this market, the first to suffer the problems, is acting as a stimulus for economy worldwide and that is why we are taking up again, with renewed interest, our position by introducing a whole new range of Natural Stone and using Inkjet technology, that is allowing us to create products “trully” natural in the finest eCollections style.
The fair will take place in April, from the 27th to the 29th. You will be able to follow it live through our web cam and throu pictures uploaded to Flickr.

This will be our first attendance to the most important fair in Russia dedicated to Construction materials, wich is also visited by the neighbouring lands. We will introduce our new range for white body as well as the new series for porcelanic floor tiles. We hope that all our clients pay a visit to us and that those who still aren’t, will be able to meet us and check out the quality of our products.
Russia is not an emerging market, but an allready consolidated market and with a great renown, where we would like to be present. We are betting on Russia.
The fair will take place from the 6th till the 9th of April. You will be able to follow it live through our web cam and through pictures uploaded to Flickr.

Speaking out of experience and as ceramic material manufacturers, we would like to stress the importance of this channel, that will act as a presscriptor of our products in a professional manner.

Architects, designers, interior designers and decorators… are all betting on ceramic tiles and incorporating it on a daily basis as a decorative element and not only for construction, thus giving it the importance it deserves.

Through this blog we intend to acknowledge that work and thank them for visiting us more and more at the fairs, not only Cevisama, in Valencia, but also in Acetech (Mumbai) as well as The Big 5 (Dubai)… were we have confirmed the interest they displayed for learning and developing their proyects with ceramic tiles.

We remind you Coverings and Mosbuild are comming up soon.

Thank you for wanting to get to know us.

The fair has already ended. In August we started preparing our new line for wall tiles and installing the new injection machine with all enthusiasm possible; they were work loaded months that required much effort to be ready for Cevisama, our point of reference for starting a new age in our company.
Now it has finished, we are able to have a positive balance that has benefited everyone, because we are opening doors and strengthening new markets. In addition, the acceptance of the new range of products has been great and we want to thank all of our clients for the attention they have paid to us and to those who have visited us in the fair.
This is helping us to continue through the same path and to encourage you to visit us in Mosbuild and Coverings, aswell as visiting our blog and reading our Newsleter. We are confident that new technologies are helping us get closer to our clients, distributors and subscribers and we remind you that as with Cevisama, you will be able to follow us through the webcam that we have prepared. In Valencia, the webcam phenomenon has been a real success because we have had many followers. Who knows, maybe we will need a 24h online channel.
In short, thanks to all of our collaborators and clients for your support and to all the Ceramicas Alcalaten team that has been working at their 200% to allow such a success.
Remember you can check out all the photos for the Valencia event in our Flickr.

Oh! If you are planing on visiting the fair, do not doubt visit us! You will be able to see all the novelties in the flesh.

The International Ceramics Competition of Alcora celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and prizes will be distributed for the best conceived designs on ceramic material.

For the past 20 years, Cerámicas Alcalatén has co-sponsored this event and we are proud that one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of ceramics will be held in our locale.

Despite the current economic situation, the organization expects similar participation to that of other years; participation in last year’s edition reached a total of 379 works of art from 32 countries across the globe.

The thirtieth competition will be officially launched in Cevisama 2010, and at the same time, the Special Audience Prize of last edition will be preseted to the Japanese ceramist, Ayako Funato.
